Moto Maker Customisation Service to Go Live in India on Monday, Hints Motorola

Motorola is reportedly planning to formally announce the arrival of popular smartphone personalisation service Moto Maker in India on Monday. On Sunday, Motorola India posted a cryptic message on Twitter: "One of a kind begets one of a kind. You are going to love this one. Watch this space to find out!"

This actually led many to speculate the launch of rumoured Moto G (3rd Gen).

But the second tweet from the company -- "Artistry is as artistry does. Fancy doing something to show off your arty side? Find out how on the 15th of June" -- which came with the graphic poster showing scissors, colour papers, crayons, colour pencils, gave away the hint that the much awaited Moto Maker is finally coming to India.

For the uninitiated, Moto Maker personalisation service was initially introduced along with the launch of first generation Moto X in the USA. Back then, the company offered buyers a chance to customise their own Moto X with close to 2,000 possible combinations.

They were given options to engrave a personalised message on the phone's back panel, choose colours for panels (18) including default wallpapers and many more options. In order to customise it, buyers just need to log into the Motorola website.

New customisation options, which have been introduced for Moto X (2nd Gen) in the USA, include trim-colour for rear-side camera module and clear cases. [More information, HERE]

Buoyed by overwhelming success in America, it later brought Moto Maker to select regions of Europe, Australia and most recently to China in May. Now, Motorola's popular smartphone customisation seems all set for a debut in India on 15 June.
