Google has announced a website and an app called YouTube Gaming that is all set to compete with Twitch that Amazon acquired in 2014. Just like Twitch, YouTube Gaming will allow users to view gaming videos and live streams. Along with this, the app and website will let users add a game to
their collection so that they can view videos on the game and users will also be notified in case of a live stream being available. YouTube Gaming will also provide suggestions on the basis of the games and channels that the users enjoy.
The app will house over 25,000 games. All these games will have their own page as well which will make it easier for users to access live streams and videos on them. The homescreen has been designed keeping in mind that the live streams are kept front-and-centre. Very recently, for users that stream games, YouTube provided 60fps live streaming. Google also says that it will provide a better live experience so that users can make gameplay broadcast to Youtube easily.
YouTube Gaming is set to release this summer in the US and UK. People can sign up for the app and the website via gaming.youtube.com so that they can get a notification as and when it is launched.
