Microsoft off late has been on a roll and has whole heartedly embraced the mobile first, cloud first vision of CEO Satya Nadella. It has been launching new applications and services across platforms, even before Windows. According to details uncovered by Twitter user @H0X0D information about a new Microsoft app called Flow has surfaced.
According to the details published Flow will be an instant messaging application that will compliment Outlook for the iPhone. Reports suggest Flow will be similar to what Skype Qik is to the full Skype app. It will exist to offer fast paced communications, and will help Microsoft enter the fast growing chat app space.
It is not clear whether this app will exist alongside the Outlook app on the iPhone or will be launched as a separate application.
Earlier in the year, Microsoft acquired a company called Accompli, which made a critically acclaimed Gmail app for the iPhone. After acquisition, Microsoft rebranded the app Outlook for mobile and later even launched it on Android. Widely, Outlook on the iPhone is considered to be the best email app better than Apple's own Stock email client and Google's Gmail app.
