On the first anniversary OnePlus One, the company has shaved off Rs.1 from the smartphone prices. The company is also offering accessories which include JBL E1+ earphones, screen protectors and flip covers at a 50 per cent discount. The gadgets are all available on e-commerce site Amazon India.
With this discount, the 64GB OnePlus One in sandstone black will be available at Rs.21,998 and its 16GB silk white phone at Rs.18,998. It is said that the Rs.1 is more of a publicity move instead of any serious discount.
The company has said that even the one rupee discount hurts them. As it didn't increase the cost of the handset after India increased the excise duty on imported phones.
After increase in excise duty, Apple hiked the rates on its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus by Rs.2,500 while OnePlus One price in India wasn't hiked.
The OnePlus One has 2.5GHz quad core Snapdragon 801 processor and sports 5.5-inch full HD touchscreen. With 13MP and 5MP cameras rear and front cameras it runs android KitKat-based Cyanogen 11S OS. The Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12 is also available.
