Google's much anticipated project Loon is now closer to an official launch. The company has not given the exact date of the launch, but a latest video posted on Google+ page of the project suggests that the project is coming closer to launch.
According to an Endgadget report, the team behind the project has recently put up a behind-the-scenes video showing everything from managing of the balloon fleet to the creation process.
Project leader, Mike Cassidy in the reported video providing a glimpse into how the team has been tackling the challenges involved to make balloon-powered Internet for all a reality. Google has partnered with local LTE network providers abroad for the project.
The balloon powered project is aimed to provide internet through balloons in the areas that are still isolated from the World Wide Web and connect those people with the internet who are still away from this modern tool of communication.
Those who have not heard about project Loon must be wondering what the project is all about. Project Loon is a network of balloons traveling on the edge of space, designed to connect people in rural and remote areas.
The project was started two years back. The main goal is to provide Internet signal to areas that can't easily get Internet service. Various tech giant firms have come up to do their bit in making the project a success.
